We are happy to announce that the World Premiere of Verses&Frames will be at NUDO – Festival de Poesía Visual (Barcelona), next Friday April 20th.

NUDO festival poesía visual

NUDO is an annual poetic meeting in Barcelona which celebrates the unsuspected bonds between living beings and things, between ideas and forms. Exactly what videopoetry does. By the way, videopoetry will be one of the protagonists of the festival: a focus on Lola López-Cózar (also present at Verses&Frames), a videopoetry screening curated by argentinian Videobardo videopoetry festival, the screening of Maldito videopoetry festival selection (whose winner last year was Hernán Talavera, interviewed at Verses&Frames)… It’s a pleasure for us to celebrate the World Premiere of Verses&Frames in such a good company.

Our documentary (directed by Belén Montero, co-directed by Juan Lesta, with music by Isaac Garabatos) is considered the world’s first documentary to address the international videopoetry scene. We hope this will be the first of many stops, and we hope we can contribute to the dissemination and consolidation of videopoetry (as well as the work of its authors) internationally.

The screening of Verses&Frames will be on Friday, April 20th at 18:30h in Centre Cívic Pati Llimona, as part of the program of NUDO. Director Belén Montero and Miriam Reyes, (one of the videopoets interviewed in the documentary) will be there to have a chat with you. We are grateful for the collaboration of Secretaría Xeral de Política Lingüística in this screening. You are all invited!
