Today we remember our trip to Barcelona, as part of the research process of Versogramas.
We interviewed Rosa Sánchez and Alain Baumann (Kònic Thtr.), who opened the doors of their studio in Fabra i Coats for us to explore their work in depth. From the artistic platform Kònic Thtr, Rosa and Alain are devoted to multimedia creation, applying interactive technology to artistic projects. A truly convergence of art, science and new media. They also carry research work and training projects related to their field.
Two videopoems stand out among their production. We discussed Golden Bricks, an award-winning text animation based on the PAH’s manifest. We also talked about CuerpoSMS, a series of two videopoems traced to a multidisciplinar project exploring language, body and incomunication. Rosa and Alain explained to us how they combine performance, interaction and programming to expand text, the basis of their creations, with amplified meanings.
